Why Choose Us?

It is envisaged that the large scale industries will have captive effluent treatment plants for treating the effluent generated and convey their treated effluent in the designated pumping station from where GIDC will pump effluent safely into the deep sea as per the marine standards.

It is desired that each industrial unit shall create and operate an individual wastewater treatment plant. However, the quantum of pollutants emitted by SSI clusters may be more than an equivalent large scale industry, since the specific rate of generation of pollutants is generally higher because of the in-efficient production technologies adopted by SSIs.

A collective treatment (centralized facility) is considered as a viable treatment solution to overcome the constraints associated with effluent treatment in small to medium enterprises.

For small and medium scale industries as well, In order to minimize environmental pollution, clean production technologies and formation of waste minimization circles are being encouraged.

However SSI and MSI unit also has several operational constraints like lack of space and technical manpower. A common facility will provide these industries with the opportunity to manage their expenditure and efficiency.

GIDC has planned a 60 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant at Saykha Industrial Estate to facilitate such smaller and medium scale industries.
